Our Mission:

Scholl Community Impact Group is a 501(c)(3) "not for profit" organization that strives to provide purposeful, supervised interactions with horses for families and individuals with physical, cognitive or emotional disabilities.

Thank you SO much for your dedication to Camp AweSum and individuals on the Autism Spectrum. We are so grateful for you and your generous volunteers. I appreciate greatly the thought and time you put into meeting the needs of these kids.

- Glenis Benson, Founder & Director Camp AweSum

The horses and your staff bring a huge smile to his face. Your program is a fabulous addition to our week. It is something Michael looks forward to every year.

- Mark and Lisa Robbins, Camp AweSum Campers

Your horses opened the understanding that therapy doesn't have to be a traditional couch therapy. For us, that opened the door to therapy that actually helps my kids. Thank you for your time and the gift that you bring.

- Tracy Sirna, mother of 3 kids on the autism spectrum

The smiles on my sons' faces when they are in the saddles is priceless! Thank you!

- Kristin Wahl, mom of Jackson and Chase

I don't know that our kids would have the opportunity outside of camp to be around horses. So having them at camp is truly an experience they will treasure and remember for ever.

- The Rose Family

I have personally experienced Lenelle's patience when we worked to get Brysson up on a horse the very first time. We worked as a team - and as a result, he rides every year at camp.

- Amy Dahlin, Brysson, Drew and Blake's mom

We are SO thankful for your time and unconditional love that you give to our children. You are the best!

  • The Hansens, Dan, Jodi, Dayton, Maddie and Lexie

It is always a highlight of our camp to see our anxious son, Eli up on that horse relaxed and happy; hugging every inch of that horse with his body. We know that the horse day is going to be a great day at camp.

- Amy, Troy, Hannah & Eli Bushman

I have had the privilege of hearing a non verbal child speak for the first time at the mere sight of the horses. I have watched otherwise shy children come out of their shells.

- Kristin Underwood, Group Leader Camp AweSum

About Scholl Community Impact Group

Scholl Community Impact Group was founded by Lenelle Scholl. Lenelle has lived in Winchester WI all her life, and has been passionately working with horses for the past sixty years. At the bright young age of six years old she got her first horse. Over the years she has mastered, trained, bred, shown horses, and instructed students in Western, Dressage, Jumping, and Eventing. Over the years she has realized her passion which is working with kids at risk and on the Autism Spectrum. Horses are the true teachers and heroes, us humans facilitate the process. This program is her true passion.

Scholl Community Impact Group is a unique, welcoming environment where the focus is on possibilities, not disabilities. Through the power of the horse, connections are made that deliver proven results that go beyond the barn. For 9 years, our organization continues to serve Northern Wisconsin delivering excellence in programming with the very best staff, horses and volunteers.
